History

A unique path of education and work experience lead David Sprenger to open the doors of Interdisciplinary Valuation in 2016. He began his career working as an architect and eventually decided to transition into real estate valuation, learning a variety of perspectives in regards to construction and real property valuation along the way. His work experience at industry leading valuation companies such as American Appraisal and Duff & Phelps has provided him the business acumen and experience to become a certified general appraiser and expert in cost segregation.

David Sprenger is a highly sought-after valuation and cost segregation specialist, developing highly credible approaches to valuing the most difficult asset types. His background and experience in both architecture and valuation grants him a unique perspective to appraising real property interests.  Mr. Sprenger has hands-on experience regarding how buildings are designed and constructed and understands how special building components and structures affect potential building uses and value.

Mr. Sprenger has conducted real property valuations, advisory services, and cost segregation studies of general purpose and specialized user-based real estate. Valuations include real property interests for market values, financial reporting, property tax appeals, purchase price allocations, market studies, insurance and eminent domain purposes for clients in the automotive, steel, power and energy, building component, and food production industries; and also iron, coal and sand mining industries. He has performed Cost Segregation studies and comprehensive depreciation analyses on large scale industrial and manufacturing facilities, high-rise offices, laboratory complexes, retail buildings, and multi-family properties.

He founded Interdisciplinary Valuation to provide valuation and cost segregation services for clients, with a focus on using professionals with a wide-ranging disciplinary capacity. Utilizing appraisers with knowledge of architecture and engineering provides a more credible appraisal, especially in regards to special-use and unique property types.
